Chef and restaurateur Matt Prentice will prepare Chaldean recipes from the Ma Baseema Cookbook — a collection of authentic recipes published by metro Detroit’s Chaldean American Ladies of Charity — in a benefit dinner on Jan. 21. The 6:30 p.m. event at Prentice’s Morels restaurant (32729 Northwestern) in Farmington Hills will feature almost 20 dishes from the cookbook as well as signature dishes from Morels.

Prentice will be assisted in the kitchen by at least 10 members of the Chaldean community who contributed recipes to the cookbook.

Tickets, at $60 each, are available at Morels or by calling the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity office at 248-538-8300.
