Linda Difronzo has been the owner of “Hair for You†in Arlington Heights for the past four years, where she is very reputable among her many clients who seek beauty beyond their cancer treatments and female pattern baldness. An inspiration, whose passion for helping other women has become more than a calling in her life, her message is clear ~ helping women who struggle to fit.
When it comes to styling wigs, “hair framing,“ is the lingo you will quickly become familiar with. A 30-year veteran of pure wig-ology, Linda can walk the talk when it comes to sizing and cutting the proper wig, coloring and styling ~ restoring life and vitality back into her clients, leaving them feeling how they did before they were diagnosed with cancer.
Humble Beginnings ~ Back in Florida, where she started as a “troubleshooter†for a neighbor hairdresser, Linda was quickly promoted to management after only three weeks, and left the establishment after twelve years, having fully trained eight staff and helped triple the size of the salon’s clientele.
It was then that Linda and her husband decided to relocate back to Chicago, where they are both natives. The couple chose to resettle back in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs as a place of familiarity. And after working solo in the salon for the first year to reestablish her, Linda has since trained a professional team of hairdressers and drawn energy to the community. In addition to her prestigious qualifications in the hair industry, she has genuinely dedicated her career to making women look and feel good about themselves.
On average, a European wig at Hair For You costs $2,200, including matching the right wig, cutting it to look like the hair is growing out of the head, sizing it to look natural, coloring, and styling. On Sunday, November 13th, “Hair for You†hosted its 4th annual fund-raiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where it showcased art by local area students and professionals, children’s performances, games, prizes and delicious entrées.
“Hair for You†on the horizon ~ Starting in 2011, Linda will be hosting webinars on the salon’s website to teach her clients how to care for their wigs. She also plans to launch an e-commerce store to sell “personalized†wigs, in addition to twenty “signature†wigs, that won’t be found anywhere else.
In the springtime, expect a “waterfall†that will help clients relax during their shampooing, and a birched tree, to extenuate the ambiance of the salon.
