Today, leaders from the Chaldean Federation of America (CFA) and the Chaldean Assyrian Syriac Council of America (CASCA) attended a joint meeting with US Senator

Carl Levin, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Corbin, and Deputy Director of the Office of Refugee Admissions Lawrence Bartlett. Representing CFA and CASCA at the meeting: Michael J. George, Dave Nona, Ismat Karmo, and Joseph T. Kassab.
To achieve realistic solutions, the following issues were discussed in details:
1. The unexplained upsurge deportation of some Chaldeans to Iraq by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
2. The status of Iraqi Refugees’ Resettlement Programs
3. The Plight of Christians inside and outside Iraq
Earlier today, US Senator Carl Levin and his brother US Representative Sander Levin jointly wrote to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano asking her to grant deferred action for Iraqi Christians currently in the US and facing deportation (see attached)best,
