The Honorable Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, Shadow Minister for Ageing Liberal Senator for New South Wales has raised concern for the Assyrians in Iraq and

has urged the Australian Federal Government and the International community to give consideration to the petition of the Assyrian Universal Alliance.
On behalf of the Alliance and the Assyrian Australian community, we would like to thank the Honourable Senator for the attention given to our plea and for her sincerity and outstanding effort over the years in raising the Assyrian concerns with the Australian Government.. We also extend our appreciation to Mr. Paul Azzo for his unrelenting commitment to the Assyrian cause and his dedicated efforts to lobby the Assyrian case for many years
