Chaldean American conference promotes business opportunities

The Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second annual Real Estate & Franchising Conference.

The conference is 11:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Sept. 20 at Shenandoah Country Club, 5600 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.

The conference will discuss franchising opportunities, offer tips on becoming business owners, discuss investment opportunities and offer panel discussions by area business leaders.

The event begins with lunch and registration at 11:30 a.m., followed by a presentation by Joe Reid, chairman & CEO of Capitol Bancorp.

Events include:

•A panel on the franchise process. Panelists include representatives from Save-A-Lot and Wireless Toyz.

•A keynote speech by James Epolito, president & CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corp.

•A panel on franchise opportunities. Panelists include representatives from Hilton Hotels, Beaner’s Coffee and High Pointe Fuel.

Capitol Bancorp Limited and affiliated banks of Bank of Michigan, Detroit Commerce Bank, Macomb Community Bank and Oakland Commerce Bank are sponsoring the conference.
