Plea for NZ to help Assyrian refugees displaced by IS militants

There’s been a plea for New Zealand to offer more help to those displaced by Islamic State militants.
Wellington-based Assyrian Priest Father Aprem Pithyou is calling on Immigration New Zealand to accept more Assyrian refugees into the country, and for New Zealand to offer more humanitarian aid.

He says hundreds of thousands of people in Northern Iraq have been displaced from their homes with no resources, and no option of returning home.
