Exodus 2012 begins at St Thomas College

 Exodus 2012, a two-day IT fest, organised by the post graduation department of Computer Science at St Thomas College, began yesterday. The first day programmes – debugging, animation and quiz on IT section – were held at Jubilee Block of the college.

The second day programmes will be held at Anugraham Auditorium at Chaldean Centre.

St Thomas College vice-principal Baiju Chakkery will inaugurate the programme and Sunil Sunny Chalakkal will chair the function. The prizes will be distributed for the winners by cine artiste Bhavana today at 4pm.

Head of the computer science department Sunil Sunny Chalakkal said this is the 10th anniversary of the computer science department. He added in the leading IT companies there is a presence of St Thomas College’s students.

The department has organised seminars every year. This year, music for the theme song is composed by 1st year BCA student Manoj Joseph, brother of famous musician Alphonse Joseph.

The lyrics were written by 2nd BCA student Flory Francis. Sanoop Thomas, former student of the college will lead a workshop on ‘Ethical hacking’. Akhil Sathyan, former student, will conduct a workshop on ‘Film and ad making’ and will honour Anoop Sathyan, a filmmaker with Campus Choice Best Alumni Award.
