Detroit Metro Area Refugee Workshop

What do you do if there is a tornado? How can you enjoy better health and happiness as you age? What’s the best way to keep food fresh?
These are the topics to be discussed during the next Detroit Metro Area Refugee Workshop, scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 16. Each family in attendance will receive a free disaster preparedness kit, and lots of helpful information that can help their families succeed in the United States. The monthly workshop is also a good time to meet friends old and new. All refugees and their sponsors are invited and encourage to attend. Childcare will be available, refreshments will be served. The session begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at St. Joseph Parish, 2442 E. Big Beaver Rd., Troy MI 48083.
This workshop is one in a series, co-sponsored by the three resettlement agencies working with Iraqi refugees in the Detroit Metro Area: Archdiocese of Detroit Office of Refugee Resettlement, Lutheran Social Services of Michigan, and the United States Committee on Refugees and Immigrants. Refugees should contact their resettlement agencies for more information.
