Christians killed in Baghdad blasts

A spate of bombings in Christian neighbourhoods in Baghdad have killed at least four people, Iraqi officials have confirmed.
Police said predominantly Christian areas of Camp Sara, Sinaa Street and al-Ghadeer in central Baghdad were among the districts hit by bombings. Officials also revealed that 11 people were wounded in the blasts.

The attacks once again highlight the threat to Iraq’s minority Christian community after a church massacre last week.

The Our Lady of Salvation church in Baghdad was the scene of a horrific bloodbath that left 58 people dead and several more wounded.

Al Qaida militants have claimed responsibility for the attack and have also threatened more violence against Iraq’s Christians.
