ASSYRIAN CHRISTIAN REFUGEE AID – PHOENIX, AZ
Since the outbreak of the War in Iraq in March of 2003 many Assyrian Christians from Iraq found themselves in an unstable and unlivable condition forcing an overwhelming number of them into refugee status. Thankfully, the United States America has granted refugee status too many Assyrian Christians within the last several years, some of them relocating to the State of Arizona. The St. Mar Zaia Organization of Arizona seeing a need to provide succor too many of these incoming refugees has established an Assyrian Refugee Aid drive to in order to provide these Assyrian Christian families with the food, clothing and the support they need.
Thus far, the St. Mar Zaia Assyrian Organization has provided food, clothing, kitchenware, bathroom-ware, subsidies for medications and other immediate and non-immediate medical needs. However, the influx of families to the State of Arizona is ever increasing. They will be hosting a party on April 18, 2009. All benefits from this party will be used towards aiding those who are seeking refuge here in the valley.
