Appeal for the Release of Chaldean Archbishop

(06 Mar 08 – RV) A Delegation of the Signatories of the Open Letter, “A Common Word”, addressed to Pope Benedict XVI and signed by 138 Muslim scholars concluded a two-day meeting with a Delegation representing the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue yesterday at the Vatican. At a Press Conference yesterday in Rome, one of the Muslim Delegates, Dr. Aref Ali Nayed took the opportunity to appeal for the safe release of Chaldean Archbishop Paulos Rahho who was kidnapped last week in Iraq.
