Chaldean patriarch sends Ramadan greetings to Iraq’s Muslims

Iraq’s leading Catholic prelate has sent a message of greeting to the nation’s Muslims for the season of Ramadan, saying that he hopes the month of prayer and fasting will promote peace an reconciliation.

“We are one community despite our diversity,” wrote Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Raphael I Sako. Saying that the country’s future requires a dedication to “the goal of true mutual coexistence, he voiced the hope that Ramadan “will bring good things and peace to Iraq and all Iraqis.”
