Archbishops call for humanitarian aid to Syria

The Anglican and Roman Catholic Archbishops of Canterbury and Westminster tonight called for urgent humanitarian aid for those suffering in Syria.

Urging a “political solution”, Archbishop Justin Welby and Archbishop Vincent Nichols said they had “watched in horror and sorrow” the escalating violence in Syria.
