“14 Year-Old Iraqi Girl to Receive Surgery in Los Angelesâ€
PRESS RELEASE
Los Angeles, California, January 20, 2012 – Mahaba, a 14 year-old girl and her family will be arriving at Los Angeles International Airport from Kirkuk , Iraq to begin her treatment for Scoliosis, from which she has been suffering for years. The surgery is scheduled to be performed at Shriners Hospitals for Children- Los Angeles on February 4, 2012, and is made possible by the said hospital, Veterans Rebuilding Life and the Assyrian Medical Society.
Since the war in Iraq has left many people without the medical attention necessary to live normal and productive lives, the three above-referenced organizations volunteered to make Mahaba’s surgery possible.
This project is dedicated to the children of the world.
