Chaldean American Fest celebrates culture

chaldean-chamber-2010_festival-cover-1.jpgSOUTHFIELD — The Chaldean Community Foundation and the City of Southfield are co-hosting the fifth annual Chaldean American Festival on June 11, 12 and 13 at the Southfield Civic Center.
The three-day festival will feature live music, children’s activities, carnival rides and games such as a Ferris wheel, carousel, Freak Out, balloon darts, ring toss, duck pond and more, as well as food vendors and merchant booths.
The Chaldean Festival is a celebration of contemporary Chaldean culture for anyone who wishes to be a part of the festivities and learn about the Chaldean roots.
Festival hours are 5-10 p.m. Friday June 11; noon to 10 p.m. Saturday June 12; and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday June 13. Evergreen Road will be closed June 11-13 for the event.
