A Chicago based organization called Iraqi Christian Relief Council (ICR Council),

established in 2007, is working with the American churches and non-profit organizations on raising awareness about the plight of Christians in Iraq, asking for prayers, and seeking funds to be delivered to Iraq. The representatives of this organization have appeared on many American radio programs and been quoted in several national and international newspapers.
In March 2009, the ICR Council represented the Iraqi Christians at an event held in Washington D.C. Several Congressmen (representing both political parties) and human rights organizations were present and expressed their solidarity with the persecuted Christians of Iraq.
In the most recent interview(Play Audio)  conducted with Mr. Wilson Younan of SBS Radio from Australia, Ms. Juliana Taimoorazy explained the ICR Council mission statement and added “Our objective in raising awareness among the Americans is asking for their prayers, raising, and delivering financial assistance for the Iraqi Christians affected by these atrocities.”
The ICR Council board members have traveled throughout the United States and presented the plight of Christians to many American churches and their congregations. This year, ICR Council financed the production of a valuable documentary which shed light on the current situation of our people (Assyrians, Chaldeans and Syriacs) in Iraq. This documentary can be viewed on YouTube by clicking HERE.
Donations are received from many concerned Christians throughout the world. The money raised is delivered to provide food, shelter, and medicine for the Christians of Iraq. Within the last two years, Iraqi Christian Relief Council has sent tens of thousands of dollars to Iraq to assist with emergency aid and relief.
