Assyrians support leadership: MP

URMIA – The Assyrian communities like all other religious minorities love their country and support Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, MP representing Iran’s Assyrian and Chaldean communities in the Majlis said on Monday.
“The Constitution of our country guarantees equality between people from any religion, and Assyrians… condemn the enemies’ lies about violation of the rights of the (religious) minorities in Iran,†Yonatan Bet Kolia said at a sporting event in Urmia.
Assyrians will not allow enemies to interfere in the internal affairs of the country, he added.
The MP also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) for its coverage of news about minorities in Iran
