ICIN 2nd Anniversary

On Saturday 30th May 2009, the charity ICIN (Iraq Christians In Need) held their 2nd Anniversary, hosting a Dinner and Dance at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Surbiton which was attended by a large number of supporters. The charity was established to help the needy Iraqi Christians who as a result of the war have been suffering, displaced, destitute and persecuted.

In the 2 year of it’s existence, the charity has achieved many of its goals, such as giving financial help, shelter, food and medical assistance to the displaced within Iraq as well as in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. It started sponsorship programs, such as “sponsor a widow” , “sponsor the education of a child” and a monthly allowance scheme for poor students who would otherwise be unable to continue with their education. It has also started educational programs such as Language courses, and computer training school.

All this would have not been possible without the generosity of the British public as well as the Iraqi community in the UK as well as internationally.
