Iraqi prelate rejects plan for Christian enclave

Plans to create a “safe haven” of Iraq’s Christian minority on the Nineveh Plain are fundamentally misguided, argues Archbishop Louis Sako of Kirkuk. The archbishop adds that isolation is contrary to the Christian vocation to evangelize. The move would also increase religious divisions, aggravating a major social problem, he adds.
