Mr. Thamir Najeeb Azoz was murdered in Mosul.

Mr. Thamir Najeeb Azoz was murdered on Friday evening August 3, 2007 in Mosul while resisting the criminals.

Unknown insurgents driving three cars were trying to kidnap Mr. Azoz in Al-Hadba’a district in the center of Mosul City. Mr. Azoz refused to get into the cars with the kidnappers, as he did not wish to leave his family and his only two children to an unknown fate. He resisted being taken by them, defending himself, and the kidnappers then shot and murdered him, running away afterwards.
