A NEW real estate listing in southwest Sydney is offering a design so different to anything else on the market it is piquing the interest of buyers from all over the country.
Featuring curved floor-to-ceiling windows, a dual staircase, a black and white theme and a whole lot of marble, this Oran Park house was only built about four months ago.
The house at 10 Davidson St is “not everyone’s cup of tea” but the uncommon piece of architecture is certainly catching the eye of buyers from far and wide, according to Ray White Cabramatta’s Adic Coralic.
“We have had a huge amount of interest — 200 phone calls in three days. Normally, I get about 20-30 in that time, but the phone hasn’t stopped ringing,” Mr Coralic said.
“I have had interstate buyers from Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane inquiring about it since it hit the market on Monday (February 5),” he said.
The agent said the two-storey build was the suburb’s best and most intriguing.
The vendors, who are moving to the Fairfield area to be with family, designed the home and have filled it with custom-made furniture.
The house has five bedrooms, a number of living spaces, luxe bathrooms, an upstairs balcony and an outdoor kitchenette overlooking the grand and quirky entertainment area.
Mr Coralic said the most interesting aspects of the home were the extravagant double height entry foyer and the ceilings, which showcase a repetitive snake-like pattern throughout.
“It has a real ‘wow’ factor, especially in the design you see from the outside — and it is definitely a surprise when you walk in.”
The property is set to go under the hammer next month. The agent said it was difficult to put a price value on the home but he expects it will fetch more than $1.5 million.
