Historical documentary discoveries Assyrian Community in Georgia , revealing its past and current life style.

At the end of 1876 there were 200 Assyrians living in Tbilisi . In 1899 they had grown to 1600.
They were involved in different occupations – masons, water carriers/tulukhchi/, kerosene dealers/niftachi, house painters, unskilled laborers. At the end of the 19th century a stratum of well-off Assyrians already emerged in Tbilisi , consisted of contractors, property owners, and merchants.
  In the period between 1914-1918, the Assyrian nation was on the verge of extinction. A number of diseased refugees, suffering from hunger, lost their homes, families, and homeland. They scattered throughout the East and West.
Many refugees found shelter in Armenia , Georgia , and Azerbaijan . Some of them joined their compatriots in Tbilisi , another part was afforded shelter in cities and villages of Georgia .

Historical documentary about Assyrians and the Assyrian community in the Russian Federation.

The Film consists of 3 parts.
Part I : “To Survive Through …” is on the Assyrian emergence in Russia after WWI.
Part II : “Revival” shows life and activity of the Assyrian Communities scattered trough out numerals sites and regions within The Russian Federation.
Part III : “To itemize the portrait” covers life and activity of prominent Russian Assyrians, specialized in differed professions.
The Assyrians, uprooted from their historic home, took shelter in the territory of Russia . There they built their new life and shared all the misfortunes of the local people, and more.
Today, at the dawn of the 21st century, after two world wars, the socialist revolution and the collapse of the Soviet Union, there is a big Assyrian Community living in the different cities and regions of this huge country – Russia .
 Films shootings are carried out in various sixties and settlements of Russia – Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar, Krimsk, village of Urmia, Armavir, Novorossiysk, Rostov-na-Donu, Novocherkassk, Shakhti, Akhtubinsk, Murmansk.
