The First Female Chaldean Judge in California
 Polly Haisha Shamoon , 42, of El Cajon, is the first female Chaldean judge in the State of California. She was sworn in Wednesday, July 23 rd , 2008 and is one of eight judges appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the San Diego County Superior Court.
Before joining the San Diego Superior Court bench, Judge Shamoon served as a deputy district attorney with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office for more than 15 years.
She earned a J.D. degree from the University Of San Diego School Of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the same University.
