The Assyrian Universal Alliance (AUA) is pleased to announce that they have received confirmation from the Hon. Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship that so far, 424 humanitarian visas have been issued to Iraqis in Syria this financial year. A further 1147 Iraqis have been interviewed, with a further 250 being interviewed this week.

This should see a substantial number of Iraqis settled here in the next few months. The significant majority of these are Assyrian and Chaldean with some others being Armenian and Mandaen.

The Assyrian Universal Alliance would like to thank the Honourable Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship for his great assistance and decision to rescue our stranded refugees in the war zone in Syria.
