Syriacs see “minorities’ coalition” as frame-up heresy

BEIRUT | iloubnan.info / NNA – October 19, 2011A delegation of Syriac parties and unions said on Wednesday that the so called ‘minorities coalition’ was a frame-up heresy, refusing to link the fate of Christians in the East to vanishing and wretched individuals and regimes.

The delegation visited Lebanese Forces Deputy, Antoine Zahra, at his office in the Parliament and voiced support for the speech of LF leader, Samir Geagea, delivered during the commemoration of Lebanese Resistance Martyrs.

“Christians of the East do not need protection from anyone (…) they are protected by democracy, pluralism, and cultural and political interaction with their Muslim brothers on the bases of justice and equality,” a statement issued in the wake of the meeting quoted the delegation as saying.
