RAK Ruler receives Patriarch of Antioch
WAM Ras Al Khaimah, May 19th, 2011 (WAM)–His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received here toady at Al Dheit Palace His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas Patriarch of Antioch and all the East Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, Sheikh Saud and Patriarch of Antioch, reviewed a number of religious issues and affairs related to people’s daily lives, living conditions and spiritual. They stressed the importance of coexistence and tolerance among followers of different religions in a society in which justice and equality prevail away from the religious, race or colour intolerance.
Sheikh Saud wished His Holiness Patriarch success in his work and performance.
The meeting was attended by Hamad Al Rahma Al Shamsi, Director General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality, Fawaz Abdullah Jumma Al Tunaiji, Private Secretary to the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and other dignitaries.
