David Coleman MP. Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs at his office in Revesby. The delegation was represented by Mr. Hermiz Shahen, Deputy Secretary General of the (AUA), Mr David M. David, President of the (AANF), accompanied by Councillor Paul Azzo, Senior advisor of the AUA and AANF on governmental affairs. In the beginning, Mr. Shahen thanked the Minister for inviting both organisation to this meeting despite his busy schedule. and spoke on many issues related to our Assyrian people in Iraq and Syria and the latest political developments in both countries. Special attention was dedicated to the tragic situation of our refugees in Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan, the delegation asked the Minister to help facilitate their affairs. For his part, the Minister welcomed the delegation and listened with care to the important issues raised by the Assyrian delegation. The Minister responded to all the questions raised regarding our refugees and forcibly displaced people and promised to reply to all the issues raised in this meeting. In conclusion, the delegation thanked the Minister for his invitation and wished him continued success in his endeavours to serve this blessed country of Australia.
