Assyrian Christians Demand Turkey Stop Bombing YPG

As Islamic State fighters stormed the Syrian border city of Kobani in October, Turkish troops sat atop their tanks and watched from just across the border.
A psychologist with an American NGO who spoke on condition of anonymity because she is not permitted to grant interviews said, “ISIS has been using hospitals in Adana”.

He said Turkey notified the United States about Friday’s airstrikes but did not carry them out under the auspices of the worldwide coalition.

Both the United States and Turkey approved military action against the Islamic State group in late 2014 after the extremist group seized vast tracts of territory in Iraq and Syria.

The psychologist said the Turkish government is definitely looking the other way while ISIS militants are treated in its hospitals before returning to combat in Syria. “You can see them and you can hear them”, she said.

Turkey, which has taken in some 1.8 million Syrian refugees since the conflict started in 2011, has repeatedly said that it has been left to shoulder a disproportionate burden as Western states stand by. ISIS commander Abu Muhammad received treatment in Hatay State Hospital last spring after he was injured fighting in Syria.

The remarks came as North Atlantic Treaty Organisation expressed “strong solidarity” with Turkey in its fight against Isis following an emergency meeting in Brussels.

“We’re holding ongoing consultations with the Turks”, said Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesman, but now “we have no plans for imposition of a no-fly zone”.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs Trade and Development Canada wouldn’t confirm whether the federal government is aware of ISIS’ activities in Turkey, but reiterated that “Turkey is a trusted ally and key partner in the fight against ISIS”.

Instead of targeting IS terrorists’ occupied positions, Turkish forces attack our defenders positions.

Sey Abdurrahman Alagoz, a 20-year-old Turkish suicide bomber, attacked a group of youth activists from the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF), killing 32.

On Tuesday, three senior Obama administration officials made it clear that the operation is aimed strictly at clearing out IS militants, and there are no US plans for a so-called “safe zone” designed to protect civilians.

Any effort to establish the proposed “safe zone” would also require the United States to navigate a quagmire of local conflicts in the area.
