Members of the Takfiri ISIL militant group have blown up more than a dozen houses belonging to Christian residents in Iraq’s beleaguered northern province of Nineveh, as they continue committing crimes against humanity in the areas under their control.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)’s spokesman in the provincial capital, Mosul, Saeed Mamouzini, said the ISIL terrorists have lately demolished 16 Christian houses in the militant-held strategic city, located some 400 kilometers (248 miles) north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, Iraq’s al-Sumaria satellite TV network reported.

He added that the militants have so far blown up more than 1,870 houses owned by members of various ethnic and religious communities across Nineveh Province.

The development came on the same day as ISIL executed more than two dozen people in Nineveh and Kirkuk, another province in northern Iraq.

According to a statement released by the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights on Monday, ISIL crucified a civilian and later amputated his arms and legs in the town of Hawijah, located about 282 kilometers (175 miles) north of Baghdad, on the grounds that he had spied on the terrorists and passed on the information to Iraqi security forces.

This file photo purportedly shows moments before Takfiri ISIL militants execute a group of Iraqi policemen at an undisclosed location in the northern province of Salahuddin.

The statement added that ISIL militants killed another 25 people by firing squad in front of a large number of onlookers in Mosul’s central neighborhood of al-Dawasah. The Takfiri terrorists had accused the victims of collaboration with Iraqi security personnel and Kurdish Peshmerga forces.

The Iraqi army, backed by Kurdish forces and volunteer Shia and Sunni fighters, has been engaged in operations to drive the ISIL terrorists out of the areas they have seized since June 2014. The Takfiri group has been committing heinous crimes against all ethnic and religious groups, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Izadi Kurds and others.
